Noise - Still an issue
I guess the issue of rowdy / noisey bars will always be a bone of contention for the poor devil living next door or across the road from it, especially as the Villas were built some 20 years prior to the bars.
As I understand it, the bar owners can control the noise level if they want to, all they have to do is install soundproofing and fit a noise limiter and get the installation inspected by Valencia, problem solved may cost a few bob, so what, better than destroying their neighbours quality of life.
And sorry Hog’s Head, Friday night your doors were OPEN.
As for the locals who are suffering, PM me and I will give you the name and address of the person in charge of licence’s for this area.
I guess the problem is when you only have a single manual door it has to be open to serve outside on the pavement.
I can understand this must be a problem as you would not want to turn off the speakers etc every time the one and only door was opened.
I think the problem is exacerbated by the 'no smoking inside rules' which means that people need to go outside for a smoke. I expect a lot of people movement would occur during the evening which would cause an increase in 'noise' levels outside.
We have been visited by town hall officals on a number of accasions when we've had music on & they seem to be satisfied we are working within an acceptable limit, we always shut our windows & doors before music starts, 2 or more people on this forum have commented that they have witnessed us closing the doors, to suggest otherwise is ludicrous, I think people will treat your comment with the contempt it deserves, I know I do.
